KO & Per Zanussi

Per Zanussi will lead Kitchen Orchestra through «Natural Patterns – Music Making With an Ensemble of Improvisers», a research project conducted at the University of Stavanger while Zanussi was a research fellow from 2013-2017.

The project examines the axes between composition and improvisation, aesthetics and listening in a large ensemble. Kitchen Orchestra will perform a concert under Zanussi’s direction at Loftet at Tou Scene on Sunday 25 November.
Zanussi, originally from the Tasta neighborhood in Stavanger, has led several bands and ensembles over the years. He has performed with such bands as Trespass Trio, Jazzmob and Zanussi Five, as well as performing with a large number of improvising musicians all over Europe.
